Blog posts! I’m going to try to set up something more robust here, but for now I thought it could be fun to ramble for the sake of having some post up on this page.
A few updates:
✧ Been trying JavaScript again. I have been able to get a few successful projects done with it in the past, but something about all the different layers to it is hard for me to remember in the right order and phrasing. I really just need to practice more, so I need to think of some new stuff I can do on this site to play around with it.
✧ Getting this site set up has been really good for me, I think, even if I have been working on it instead of more “important” things. It has made me dive more into the things I care about and given me more to do with my hands than scroll. It feels nice to be putting stuff out there instead of mindlessly taking it in, and it has been so fun poking around other people’s sites. How are you all so creative???
✧ I may be moving soon, which is going to be hectic, but also hopefully a good thing in the end. I’m a little scared of not having Internet for a few days. That honestly may be good for me, though. I’ve found that, as frustrating as blackouts are as someone who does work and school online, losing electricity/Internet completely frees up my brain in a way I don’t often experience otherwise. When it literally isn’t even an option to opt for social media time sinks, it’s like the whole world opens up for me. That’s kind of why I want a dumbphone. I know a lot of people think it’s stupid–why buy something new instead of just having more self discipline when using the devices you already have? But I really benefit most when I’m not even in a position to consider unhealthy choices as choices. That’s the only thing that forces me to see what’s around me.
Anyway, thanks for checking out my site and leaving kind comments if you have! I can’t reply until my site is a bit older, but it brightened my day so much to see that people have found this place interesting. :) I’m excited to do more.
